So, a night and some rest in Reno and we're finally heading out to the playa! Can't wait - I'm so excited! I did forget my ticket in LA though which sucks but I'll just have to get another one at the gate, no turning back now! No reception out there so see you next week...

Yesterday was one hell of a roller coaster day. Happy, sad, excited, presents, busy, yoga, tears, failure, sun, love, disappointment and much more.
I just couldn't get myself to pack for New York and 2 hours before my flight was about to depart I was still not even started. Well, 2 and a half (thank u Delta for the delay!) hours later there was a very flustered Stiletto Sinner putting her eyemask and neckpillow on in perfect preparation for a red eye flight!
But seriously, I think the staff at LAX were fed happy brownies or something cause every single one from curbside service to security were singing, playing games and generally making me and all the kids happy. No more funkiness and I'm ready for New York!!!
So I was on a flight from Copenhagen back to the US a few days ago and me and my newfound friend Lisa who I was sitting next to were having a ball, exchanging stories about European men I mean food, crappy airplanes and high heels when red wine got the better of me. Lisa might have been impressed with my 5 (ok airplane sized but I still love the sound of it) bottles of wine but it doesn't come for free!
As you know I have invisalign and love them (clear braces to straighten your teeth that need to be taken off when eating and drinking), so when I thought it was time for a nap I went to brush my teeth so I could put the braces back in. PANDEMONIUM AND LET'S STOP THE PLANE AT THE NEXT STATION!!! I couldn't find my braces anywhere! I kept asking the flight attendants, Lisa, people around my seat, searching my seat, the bathroom I'd been to, everyone pockets (including the hot guy behind me) and cursed myself for not putting them somewhere safe, like in my bra! OH SHIT, that's exactly how brilliant I had been, they were there the whole time, safe between my boobies and very happy there.
Everyone could relax, I could put my "retainers" in and although I was nap ready me and Lisa was being way to silly for me to sleep. That's how to travel boys and girls.
(oh, and yeah, had no photos of all of this so I just put some random old stuff up... xx)
At Lax again (seriously ridiculous how I go there more often than I go for hikes). The flight is delayed, super delayed,at midnight and no one is giving us any information on what's happening.
I immediately went to the bar and ordered two glasses of wine (it was last call) and some spicy snacks.
So now, when the bar is closed everyone else is pissed off, I'm finishing my wine and licking my lips from the spicy nuts....

Yes, about to hit Copenhagen airport after a hard night out with my brother and his friends (actually mostly me and Filippa who's freaking awesome by the way) which means a beautiful trip in dreamyland all the way back to sunny California... Not that I'll stay for long though, only 36 hours later I'm heading back east (yes, incredibly environmentally inefficient but wardrobe change necessary!) for a few days in NYC. And while I'm at it I'll squeeze in a couple of days of sinning in Vegas for memorial day before going back to LA. Boom.
Running in central park at this time of year is unbeatable. You can suck a lot of energy just walking through so imagine what it's like when you run fast enough for people to think the IRS or your local gangster is chasing you...
Either way, I love it. The green, the people, the easy hot dog access, the hore shit smell. All of it! And most of all, the Duck fucking!

You might think this shouldn't be allowed in the "travel" category but the truth is that I go to New York more often than I get my ass over to Venice beach and Malibu.
I don't know if it was "I ate shitloads last night so I need to burn it off biking and hiking" or "I wanna wear my 150 dollar stupid biker shorts even though they are utterly unflattering because I own a pair" or maybe "I'm tired of present company and some wind and exhaustion may make her shut up so I don't have to listen to her whining and gossiping", either way, I suggested we go biking and hiking rather than enjoying margaritas by the pool (yeah, something must have been wrong!).
It ended up being a beautiful trip and thank God for the fact that only two out of my 21 gears worked so I could be thoroughly sore the next day.
You gotta love LA.

Venice beach (did I tell you I don't come here often?)
There are plenty of activities to engage in if you visit Puerto Vallarta but considering how much partying I'd done before hand I really didn't wanna do anything at all.
Somehow I was talked into going to a private beach only accessible by boat to dive (probably the only activity I don't love, unless conditions are perfect).
I lasted all of one minute in the water before I got out - the current was strong, the water wasn't clear and I didn't feel like my body needed a dive after all the partying. I instead explored the island and went to the spa. A much more suitable rehab day for a tired SS.
If you ever get to visit PV - make sure you get to enjoy the beautiful nature, walk the old famous street of the cute town and for sure - never miss a sunset.

It had been record cold all week for this time of year so I was very happy to spend my last day in the sun before heading back to a rainy LA.
With all the partying we had done it was hard to move much so we started out by the pool but gathered enough strength after a few hours to make it to gorgeous Canibal Royal beach club for some well-needed (but not well-thought-through) margaritas.
Add some tender steaks at Argentinean hang out 10 and we might just make it out one last night...
